It's been a while that I've read this blog. As i was reading it, it felt so warm, so real, so sweet and exciting.. but after all the reading, when reality sinks back in, i know i need to face this harsh reality again. It hadnt been a dream before... it was really true.

Today is 13th december. I was supposed to be doing my final checklist in preparation for my wedding.. instead, i'm here crying and trying to live one day at a time getting through this pain..

I promised to love this man the way God wants me to love him. If letting him go is the best option, i would do it with minimized pain for the both of us.

2 weeks since the cool-off period started. This already had been pushing me away too much... 10 more weeks to go? 2 months ago, we bought the rings together. trying out almost all couple-rings we can find......... we came to a ring, which i think is my perfect wedding band. it was custom made for us from Italy, mine is size 7, his is 19. It was simple, with simple design, no diamond on me, and they were EXACTLY the same!! EXACTLY the same! engraved with "LISA" on the man's band; and "VINCE TING" on the woman's ring. I remembered each and every word we said then... i suggested that we engrave our wedding date "9/1/2009" on the ring; he asked "do u know when's the date?" ... then he said "better not, engraved already then cnanot change". then he wrote the "TING" behind the Vince, telling me that there're many vince out there. he wants to be sure that it's vince ting that i'm marrying...

woshhhh... 2 months later, the rings are here a couple of weeks ago. but here i am.. mending my broken heart.. trying to get over this shattered dreams of having my own wedding on 1/9/2009. friends flocked in to comfort and protect me.

The uncomfortable distance.....

The uncomfortable distance, and the uncomfortable silence. i am determined to persevere in this uncomfortable distance. i feel scared and terrified and i feel like freeing myself from this. and i'm terrified... very terrified...

it's been a while since i've written any updates on this blog. the reason is, me n vince had been going through rough patches on our path. just for an update: we're discussing to postpone the wedding to an indefinate date. a couple of my gfs asked me "postponed to WHEN?" question.. however, i'm so sorry .. i really couldnt give everyone this answer yet.

when he mentioned postponing, it seemed like it was the end of the world for me. i coulndt believe how i'm going to go through the same kind of experiences AGAIN! i cant believe how i gave myself chances to get back to that same old shoes AGAIN! that night when i hear this news, all i could do was cry and cry and cry... it is so very painful especially when i thought of "shame on YOU when u fooled me once, and shame on ME when u fool me twice"... in my mind, that "YOU" refers to all men. how could i ever let another man do it to me again? where've all my self-protecting gears go! i was really devastated....

Wedding DAY is just merely a celebrated starting point of a relationship. Much effort and money and time are put into "organising" this event. Who started the "idea" of celebrating a marriage?

Item: Bridal Gown & Accessories

1. Bridal Gown
   Since me and Vince are not going to take studio bridal pictures, I would need to hunt down for a gown on my own. My idea of the gown would be: mandrin collar; sleeved; A-line; floor length gown, plus a short veil. The gown should be as SIMPLE as possible. No beads; no lace; no dangling ribbons


2. Evening Gown
   I'll be shopping for the evening gown in KL during our trip in August. Will stop by Beatrice Looi's boutique, a local designer. http://www.beatricelooi.com/. Am hoping that i would be able to find one very pretty gown in there. Found out that the boutique is in Lot10. which is about 10 minutes walk from the place where we're staying.


3. Accessories - Necklace; Earrings - Havent decided yet. Waiting for the gowns.


4. Gloves - NONE! - PLEASE..... can i not wear gloves?! :>


5. Make up & Hairdo - Thanks to Jasmine for introducing Audrey to me. I will make an appointment to see her after my trip. and after i've decided what gowns to wear.


6. Manicure & Pedicure - Though i'm a craze in weird and extravagent nail arts... i've decided to do crystal french manicure for my wedding.. reasons: i dont want to puke looking at my nails on my pictures 10 years from now! haha.

Would love to look for a shorter heel for the shoes. Found one in Charles & Keith couple of weeks ago. Will try finding other options in KL.

Item: Wedding bands

On May 25 May 2009, me n Vince decided to walk around in 1borneo searching for our wedding bands.

Criteria:
1) it must be a set of IDENTICAL wedding bands
2) it has to have "unisex" look - not too boyish for me; nor too girlish for him
3) it is made of white gold/platinum
4) preferably with NO diamond on either rings

after walking around for 3 hours, seeing and looking at more than 50 pairs of rings, I think so far, the best choice is:

However, the bands were not decided yet. We're hoping to get a pair of "perfect" bands. :) thus, the bands-shopping will be continued during our KL trip in August (one thing to consider: how shall we service our bands in the future if we bought the rings from KL?)...

Vince popped the question infront of his family members and our friends in @mosphere Revolving Restaurant on my birthday.
